From May 2025 to August 2025, I interned with The Borgen Project, a national campaign working to address global poverty. During this internship, I wrote articles published in the magazine and blog advocating for change. Additionally, I contacted congressional leaders and raised money for The Borgen Project, which goes towards the fight to end poverty.

Addressing Mental Health in Mauritania

Mauritania has only one small psychiatric ward for five million people, leading many to seek traditional treatments. Mental health professionals must train abroad, worsening the care shortage. Millie Bobby Brown Champions Girls’ Rights and Education in Brazil

In March 2025, actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Millie Bobby Brown visited the Cidade Tiradentes district in São Paulo, Brazil, to advocate for girls' rights and education. During her visit, she met with teenage girls who shared personal stories about gender-based violence, period poverty, early pregnancy, and the struggle to stay in school or find employment.
